HOT SOUR SOUP 
1 c. pork strips, lean
2 c. bamboo strips
2 tsp. sugar
3 tbsp. soy sauce
4 c. chicken broth
1/4 tsp. vinegar
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. strips black mushrooms (plain mushrooms can be substituted)
2 eggs

Cook all ingredients except eggs until meat is tender. Skim fat. In separate bowl scramble eggs. When soup is finished quickly swirl egg into soup. Do not reboil.
