HOLIDAY PECANS 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. water

Mix together all ingredients and boil to soft boil about five minutes, stirring often. Add 1 pound pecans (5 to 6 cups) to syrup and stir. Empty onto wax paper and separate into turtles. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
