1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Blend in well beaten egg mixed with milk. Spread half of batter in greased and floured pan (6"x10"). Sprinkle with half streusel mixture. Add rest of batter and sprinkle remaining Streusel over top.

STREUSEL:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. flour
2 tsp. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix with fork before mixing coffee cake.
