1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. raisins
1 c. hot water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt

GLAZE:

1 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. sugar

Mix together sugar, butter, raisins and hot water. Boil 3 minutes. Cool completely. Add flour, cinnamon, allspice, soda, cloves and salt. Bake in a 10 x 15 inch greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Ice at once with the glaze.
