BEEF BURGUNDY | |
2 slices bacon 2 lbs. beef, cut in 2 inch cubes 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. beef stew seasoning mix 1 c. burgundy 1 c. water 1 tbsp. tomato paste 12 sm. boiling onions 4 oz. mushrooms Fry bacon in Dutch oven; remove. Coat meat with flour and salt. Brown in bacon fat. Add beef stew seasoning mix, burgundy, water, and tomato paste. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Peel onions and pierce with a fork at each end. Add to the beef mixture and simmer 40 minutes. Add mushrooms. Simmer 3 minutes. Serve over noodles. |
