APPLE CRISP 
1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. corn oil butter
2 lbs. apples
2 tbsp. sugar
Vanilla ice cream

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and dash of salt. Cut in butter until mixture is like coarse crumbs; set aside. Peel, core, and slice fruit to make 6 cups. Place fruit in baking dish (10 x 6 x 2 inch). Sprinkle with sugar. Sprinkle crumb mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with ice cream. Serves 4. Can use other fruits, peaches, pears.
