PEANUT BUTTER ROLL 
3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. water
1 box confectioners sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 egg whites

Combine sugar, syrup and water. Place over heat. Let mixture boil until it forms a long thread when tested. Pour this mixture into 2 stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat until you can work like soft dough.

Pour powdered sugar on smooth surface; work into dough. Divide into balls. Roll out. Spread peanut butter. Roll into long rolls and chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Makes about 60-70 pieces.
