FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1 c. Wesson oil
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecans
2 heaping c. grated apples
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture, vanilla, apples and pecans. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 350.

ICING FOR APPLE CAKE:

Boil for 1 minute: 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. butter

Punch holes in cake and pour icing over cake.
