BUD'S APPLE COBBLER 
9 x 13 inch pan
2-3 qt. fresh apples, sliced

Mix dry ingredients: 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Mix and sprinkle over 1/2 of apples in pan. Add rest of apples then rest of spice mixture.

NEVER FAIL CRUST:

3 c. plain flour
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vinegar
7 tbsp. cold water
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix flour, salt and shortening. Mix egg, vinegar and water in bowl by itself. Add liquid mixture a little at a time to flour mixture. Knead lightly. Divide dough. Use 1/2 of dough mixture for top and 1/2 for bottom. Partially bake bottom crust before adding apples. Bake pie at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
