1 yellow cake mix
1 c. water
3 eggs
1 sm. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1/3 c. oil
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients in large bowl for 2 minutes. Pour batter into a wax paper lined 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Cool - remove cake from pan, cut cake lengthwise using a thread, make 2 layers. Spread filling between layers. Sprinkle top with XXX sugar.

FILLING:

5 tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening

Combine flour and water in saucepan. Cook until thick and boils. Cool.

Combine sugar, butter, shortening and vanilla in bowl. Beat until thick and fluffy. Add cooked mixture and beat well. You can't underbeat.
