CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH ICING 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. pkg. finely chopped pecans

Grease pan (don't flour). Set oven at 400 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, soda and cinnamon in a bowl. In saucepan, combine butter, Crisco, cocoa and water until melted and boil 1 minute. Pour over flour mixture and stir well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and then mix well. Pour into greased pan and bake approximately for 20 minutes.

ICING: Melt cocoa, butter and milk - bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar all at once, beating until smooth. Add vanilla and pecans. Pour over cake while hot.
