MARY ELIZABETH'S BATTER FRIED
CHICKEN
 
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. ICE water
Bread crumbs

Mix all ingredients except bread crumbs. Brush on chicken with a pastry brush. Dip in bread crumbs. Fry in hot Crisco until browned on all sides. Finish cooking by baking in 350 degree oven for about 1 hour until tender.
