LINZER GEBACK 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Apricot or strawberry jam or filling
Chocolate chips, melted

Cream butter and sugar. Add salt and flour until smooth. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick, cut into 3 inch rounds. Cut center out of half the cookies (they're shaped like a ring). Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Cool and spread flat cookies with apricot or strawberry jam. Place ring shaped cookie on top. Dust with powdered sugar or dip one edge in melted chocolate chips. Makes about 12 complete cookies.
