BLACKBERRY CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 eggs
2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1/2 c. black walnuts
2 c. sugar
2 c. blackberries and juice
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

Mix butter, sugar, and eggs. Beat well until it looks like ice cream. Add spices. Add soda to buttermilk, then add to other mixture. Add salt to flour, then add to first mixture and beat well. Fold in berries and nuts with a spoon (do not beat). Bake in 9 x 15 inch pan until done.

Icing: Make a glaze of blackberry juice and powdered sugar. Pour lightly over cake.
