BISCOTTI ALL' ANACI 
2 eggs
5/8 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. pastry flour, sifted
1 tsp. anise seeds

Place eggs and sugar in bowl; beat well 10 minutes. Add flour slowly, blending gently and thoroughly. Add anise seeds. Butter and flour a 4 inch wide loaf pan, pour in batter, and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Leave oven on. Remove from pan. Cut loaf into 1 inch slices; place slices on buttered baking dish. Place again in oven; brown slices on both sides. It takes about 5 minutes for each side. Makes about 20 biscuits.
