5 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 lb. butter 4 eggs 1 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. honey 1 tsp. anisette 1 tsp. lemon extract 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla FOR GLAZE: 1 lb. confectioners' sugar Water Candy sprinkles Sift flour and baking powder together. Melt butter, let cool. Add butter, eggs, sugar, honey and extracts and knead together. Add milk gradually and keep kneading until dough comes away from side of bowl cleanly. Add more flour, gradually, if necessary. Form into softball-sized ball, flatten on a floured board and roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. Make confectioners' glaze. Brush on and sprinkle candy sprinkles while glaze is wet. Let glaze dry before putting cookies away. |
