BISCOTTI 
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
1 cube butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Flour

Start with a sifter full of flour. Sift with dry ingredients into a bowl. Make a well in the center. Add beaten eggs, cooled melted butter and Crisco, milk and vanilla. Work in the flour from the sides of the well a little at a time.

Make dough smooth consistency, easy to roll. Keep dough under a large bowl or pan so it won't dry out. Cut off small pieces, roll out on bread board with hands to 1/2 inch round pieces. Cut each piece 3 inches long, shape in S and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
