COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1-1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
2-1/2 c. self-rising flour

Mix butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract well. Blend in flour. Chill 3 hours. Divide dough and roll 3/16 inch thick on floured board. Cut with cookie cutters.

Bake in 350°F oven for 8 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Bake on non-stick cookie pans.
