I was looking for an alternative to making bread because my oven went out and I was really surprised with this recipe. At first I was really ticked off because I thought I just wasted the last of my flour on a thick tortilla, but this had the consistency and taste of bread. I could have used a little less baking soda and anyone else might want to keep that in mind, but I just used some extra butter and salt lathered on top to cut that taste out. I also made this using butter instead of shortening and I used a skillet instead of a hot griddle. Came out Great!!
