BORSCHT 
3 c. cabbage, grated
3 carrots, grated
1 onion, chopped
3 potatoes, grated
4 beef bouillon cubes
3 c. stewed tomatoes
1 sprig parsley
1 bay leaf
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 sprig dill
6 c. water

Simmer all ingredients in large kettle for 30 minutes. NOTE: 1 teaspoon of thick sour cream may be added to each bowl of soup if desired.
