RICE TAMALE PIE 
1 lb. hamburger meat
4 c. cooked rice
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 c. condensed beef bouillon
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. grated American cheese

TOPPING:

1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sifted yellow cornmeal
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Brown ground meat in a skillet and drain off fat. Add cooked rice, tomato sauce, condensed beef bouillon (or 2 cups boiling water and 2 beef bouillon cubes), chili powder, salt and pepper. Place in a greased 3 quart casserole and sprinkle with grated American cheese.

Topping: Combine all ingredients. Mix until smooth and spread over tamale mix. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 8.
