SAUSAGE AND PASTA 
1 lb. italian sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 can (28 oz.) chopped tomatoes
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
12 oz. dried pasta shapes

Cook sausage in skillet until brown. Drain sausage and reserve 2 tablespoons oil. Cook onion and garlic in oil until onion is soft. Add drained tomatoes and cook 5 minutes. Add basil, oregano, salt and pepper, and sausage to skillet. Cook 25 to 30 minutes. Cook pastas according to package directions. Drain pasta and add sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serves 4 to 6. Reheats well, too.
