STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
6 lg. bell peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion
1 clove, garlic, minced
2 med. tomatoes, chopped
3 tbsp. A-1 steak sauce
1 tsp. basil leaf, crumbled
1/2 tsp. oregano, crushed
2 slices white bread, crumbled fine

Wash peppers; cut slice from top. Remove seeds and membranes. Par boil peppers 3 minutes in salt water. Drain. Cook beef in large skillet until crumbly and put aside. Add onions and garlic to drippings. Saute until soft. Add other ingredients, except bread crumbs, to mixture and cook over low heat 5 minutes. Add bread crumbs and stuff the peppers. Stand peppers upright in 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Cover with foil and refrigerate until 45 minutes before time to bake. When ready to bake, place in 375 degree oven uncovered. Bake 45 minutes or longer until peppers are tender. Serves 6.
