STUFFED BACON ROLLS | |
2 c. soft bread crumbs (about 3 slices bread) 1 c. apple, finely chopped 2 tbsp. onion, finely chopped 1 tbsp. snipped parsley 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. milk 1 egg, beaten 10-11 slices bacon Toothpicks In large bowl combine bread crumbs, chopped apple, chopped onion, parsley, salt and pepper. Add milk and egg. Mix well. Cut each slice of bacon in half crosswise. Shape mixture into balls, using 1 rounded tablespoon for each. Wrap each ball in half a bacon slice, secure with toothpicks. Place bacon wraps on wire rack set in a 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until bacon is brown. Serve immediately. Makes 20-22 appetizers. |
