APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. white sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Add sifted ingredients to the rest, then 3 cups chopped apples and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well and bake in 300 degree oven until finished.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. butter

Cook 2 1/2 minutes. Stir a little after removing from heat, but do not beat. Dribble over cake, while cake and icing are still hot. A few chopped nut meats over icing makes it extra special.
