APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. pecans
4 c. peeled & sliced apples
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk

Combine eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Sift flour, salt and soda. Mix lightly, then fold in pecans and apples. Spoon into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until done.

Meanwhile, combine brown sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan and boil 2 1/2 minutes. Sugar should be dissolved. Pour over hot cake; cool in pan on a rack. Cake will absorb some of topping. Makes 12 servings.
