APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. chopped, peeled apples
1 c. chopped nuts

TOPPING:

1/2 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter

Mix Crisco oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, salt and baking soda. Fold in apples; then fold in nuts. Batter will be thick. Bake in greased bundt pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Pour glaze over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Let sit in pan for 2 to 3 hours, then invert on serving plate.

GLAZE: Mix and boil ingredients over medium heat for 3 minutes.
