SPICED GLAZED BEETS 
1 can beets, drained and sliced
1/2 c. beet juice from can
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cornstarch

Simmer beet juice, vinegar, sugar, cloves, cinnamon and salt for 5 minutes. Dilute cornstarch with a little water and cook until clear and thick. Pour over dry beets.
