CABBAGE SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 med. head of cabbage
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce plus 2 cans water
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1 tbsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. sweet basil
1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder

Brown together hamburger, onion and garlic. Add cut up cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, kidney beans and spices. Simmer 1 hour.
