PEARS IN SPICED RAISIN SAUCE | |
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can sliced pears in heavy syrup 1/4 c. dark seedless raisins 3 tbsp. orange juice 1 tsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp. ground ginger 1/8 tsp. salt Drain pears, reserve 1/4 cup syrup. In 1 quart saucepan, heat raisins and reserved pear syrup to boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 5 minutes. Mix orange juice and cornstarch. Stir into raisin mixture with cinnamon, ginger and salt. Heat to boiling. Boil 1 minute. Add pear slices, heat through. Serves 2. |
