1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas (2 or 3 bananas)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar well, then add eggs and mix well. Add flour, salt, and baking soda while mixing add buttermilk, mix well. Then add bananas and vanilla and mix well. Pour into three 8 inch cake pans, greased and floured. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
