NANNIE'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. unsweet cocoa
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 cup hot coffee

In mixing bowl add all ingredients above and mix for 10 minutes. Pour in 2 or 3, 9 inch cake pans and cook at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool 15 minutes.

Icing:

1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter softened
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

In a saucepan cook milk and flour until thick like a paste. Cover and cool in icebox. In a separate bowl, beat vanilla, butter, crisco and sugar until creamy. Then add milk and mixture from icebox. Beat 10 minutes.
