MAMAMIA CASSEROLE 
1 c. onions
1/2 c. green peppers
1 lb. ground veal or beef
1/2 c. celery
6 toes garlic

Saute above until meat is slightly brown and vegetables are soft. Add the following:

1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Italian seasonings
1 tbsp. sugar or sweetener
16 oz. can tomatoes, drained and crushed (reserve liquid)
Add water to make 2 c.
1/2 tsp. pepper
Pinch sweet basil
16 oz. can tomato sauce
1 can mushrooms
16 chopped olives (optional)

Simmer 15-20 minutes. Spoon small amount of sauce in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Top with 8 ounces of uncooked noodles. Cover with remaining sauce and 8 ounces Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let sit 15 minutes before cutting.

NOTE: May add Romano or Parmesan cheese before adding Mozzarella.
