APPLE CUSTARD PIE 
Deep dish pie shell
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. sugar
5 apples, peeled, cored, and cut up
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

TOPPING:

Mix together: 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Sprinkle bottom of pie shell with 2 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup sugar. Pour apples in pie shell. Mix the milk, egg, and vanilla flavoring and pour over apples. Sprinkle the topping mixture on. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn heat down to 325 degrees and continue baking 50 more minutes or until pie is firm.
