STREUSEL APPLE PECAN PIE 
6 or 7 apples, to make 7 c.
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. chopped pecans
9-inch unbaked pie shell

Sprinkle pecans over bottom of 9-inch pie shell. Combine apples with remaining ingredients and turn into pie shell. Top with the following streusel:

1/4 c. melted butter combined with
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. chopped pecans

Sprinkle this mixture over apples. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cover pie with aluminum foil if top becomes too brown. Serve warm with whipped cream or soft ice cream.
