STRAWBERRY POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
2 3/4 c. white sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
1 c. strawberries (juice and berries)
Several drops of red cake coloring

Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and berries. (Add cake coloring to strawberries before putting in cake). Add flavoring and bake in large 10 inch tube pan (floured and greased). Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until done.

ICING:

1 stick melted butter
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. mashed strawberries

Mix well. Fold in: 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Spread on cooled cake.
