APPLE BARS 
3 c. flour
1 c. lard
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk, in cup fill to 3/4 c. with milk

Mix like pie crust, roll 1/2 dough in jelly roll pan. Put 1 cup crushed corn flakes on crust. 4 cups apples, 1 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll other half of dough for top crust. Beat egg white stiff and spread on top of crust. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Mix 1 cup powdered sugar and put on bars as soon as taken from oven.
