APPLE DUMPLINGS | |
5 apples, peeled, cored and quartered 1 can Hungry Jack flaky biscuits 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 to 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. water Roll each biscuit out on floured wax paper very thin (saucer size). Cut each one in half, place 1/4 apple on each half and roll dough around it. Place as close together as possible in oblong dish. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour this over each dumpling and dot with butter. Place in 325 degree oven and cook 40 minutes. Baste at least twice while cooking. Makes 20. |
