CARAMEL FILLED BROWNIES 
Caramel Filling:

1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk over low heat. Set aside.

Brownies:

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) melted butter
1/3 cup evaporated milk
6 or 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Mix together cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Pat 1/2 of chocolate mixture into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 6 or 7 minutes.

Remove from oven and pour melted caramel over chocolate mixture. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel. Pat remaining chocolate mixture over caramel and chips. Bake 15 to 20 minutes more.

Refrigerate after cooling before cutting.
