ICE BOX ROLLS 
1 yeast cake
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. lukewarm water
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. flour

Dissolve yeast cake in 2 tablespoons warm water with 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Beat egg well, add sugar, salt, water, butter, yeast cake, 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth, then add 2 more cups flour, knead well, cover and let rise until double in bulk or put in ice box until needed. Roll out, cut in rounds, dot with butter and fold over, let rise 1 hour before baking. Bake in 425 degree oven 20 minutes. Brush with melted butter.
