OLD-FASHIONED ICE BOX ROLLS 
1 cake yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Add 1/2 c. boiling water to 1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
3 c. flour

Mix sugar, salt, 1/2 cup water and melted Crisco in a bowl. Add 1 egg, mix well, then add yeast, mix in 3 cups flour, mix well. Put in refrigerator for 3-4 hours or 2-3 days! Roll out and shape, let rise 3-4 hours. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

This is a great recipe. I refrigerated my dough for two days and it was so easy to work with. The rolls came out perfectly - very good texture and flavor. Simple to make!
