PENNSYLVANIA NOODLE CASSEROLE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. med. noodles
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sliced green onion
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Cook noodles according to package directions, drain. Melt butter in skillet, stir in salt. Saute onions and green peppers in butter until tender. Add meat and brown slowly. Drain off excess fat.

Combine tomato paste, sour cream, sugar and salt. Blend in noodle mixture and cottage cheese. Layer half the noodle mixture in a 2 quart casserole, then half the meat mixture. Repeat. Pour tomato sauce over all. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until treated through. Makes 6 servings.
