MICROWAVE RICE 
2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. rice

Combine water, butter and salt in a 2 quart casserole with a lid. Microwave 4-8 minutes on high. Stir in rice and replace the lid. Microwave for 15-17 minutes on medium (5) until rice is tender. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
