CHESS CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 box brown sugar (16 oz.) light or dark
3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour (sifted)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter, add sugars. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one. Fold in flour. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch greased and floured pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
