LEMON LOAF 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
Grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar. Add rind, vanilla and lemon extract. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Pour in a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Glaze with juice from 1 lemon and about 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
