HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 med. potatoes
6 slices bacon
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1-2 tbsp. sugar (adjust to your taste so not too sour or sweet)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Dash of pepper
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar

Fry bacon. Remove from skillet and set aside. Saute onion in bacon grease. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in water and vinegar. Return to heat and bring to boil. Stir constantly. Boil 1 minute. Add cubed potatoes and crumbled bacon. Mix sauce thoroughly with potatoes and serve warm.
