BUCKEYES 
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tsp. solid vegetable shortening

Line baking sheet with wax paper. In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, vanilla, butter and sugar with hand mixer until it is like cornmeal. Use hand until dough is smooth. Shape into small 1-inch balls. Place on wax paper and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.

Melt chocolate with vegetable shortening in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes; stir, put in for another 1 1/2 minute. Insert toothpick into balls. Dip to cover 3/4 of ball and return to wax paper and refrigerate.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
