3 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 eggs
2 c. pecans, chopped
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 box coconut
1 lb. orange slice candy, chopped

Cream butter, sugar and eggs together in large mixing bowl, add flour, baking soda and 1/2 cup buttermilk. Mix until creamy. Then add dates, coconut, pecans and orange slice candy; mix well. Grease and flour a large tube pan, put all of your cake mixture in the tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or less.
