FAVORITE BEEF STEW 
2 lb. cubed beef
Flour
1/4 c. butter
2 lg. onions, sliced
3 carrots, cut into rounds
1 c. frozen peas
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. thyme or rosemary
2 tsp. salt
Fresh ground pepper to taste

1. Flour beef thoroughly. Brown in Dutch oven in melted butter.

2. Add spices and water to cover. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaf.

3. Add carrots and simmer another 30 minutes.

4. Just before serving, add frozen peas and simmer 5 more minutes.

5. Excellent served over noodles or boiled potatoes.
