SWEET - SOUR CHEF'S SALAD 
6 slices bacon
1 tbsp. sugar
4 slices boiled ham, cut up
Chopped radishes
1/2 c. chow mein noodles
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 med. head lettuce, torn
Chopped onion
1/2 c. diced cheddar cheese

Fry bacon until crisp; drain. Reserve 1 tablespoon bacon fat. Combine fat, vinegar and sugar. Heat; pour over lettuce. Add ham, onion and radishes. Toss lightly. Add cheese and noodles. Toss lightly; serve. Yields 4 servings.
